Ingredients Explained
Fatty Acid & Cold Pressed Oils
Key elements in a natural skin care diet, essential fatty acids like omega-3s and omega-6s are the building blocks of healthy cell membranes. These polyunsaturated fats also help produce the skin's natural oil barrier, critical in keeping skin hydrated, plumper, and younger looking. webmd
RSC incorporates numerous fatty acid oils that are used for their healing properties. These are the base of so much that is effective with our products. Not every oil is in every product, they are matched to the needs of range and solution.
FATTY ACID OILS INCLUDE:

Emollient & Carrier Oils
Distinguishing between these two categories is not necessary in RSC products. These are refined and unrefined base oils that deliver emollients to the skin that are similar to the natural oils skin produces. Many are extremely effective in moisturizing the skin. Others are dryer and deliver the fatty acid oils and herb teas and extracts deeper. All are naturally refined or pressed and present in almost all products.

Essential Oils
Essential oils in RSC products are used to mitigate the herbal smell in some products and as effective anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. The use of EO's is less that .25% in our products. RSC does recognize the need to use essential oils in the process, therefore uses them with extreme care, never leaving our motif is to be as gentle as possible.
Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants. The oils capture the plant's scent and flavor, or "essence." Unique aromatic compounds give each essential oil its characteristic essence. Essential oils are obtained through distillation (via steam and/or water) or mechanical methods, such as cold pressing.
