RawSkinCeuticals began with one woman searching for a calmer, more natural way to care for irritated, breakout-prone skin and became a full system of skincare and clean makeup built around real concerns.

How RSC Started

From necessity to natural systems.

Sarah's skin struggles shaped the earliest formulas. The goal was never to chase trends. It was to create products that helped people fell calmer, clearer, and more confident in their own skin.

From a very early age, Sarah struggled with persistent skin problems. Like so many other, she tried everything. From over the counter products, dermatologist  prescribed treatments, and every solution she could find.

Some products help for a while, but she could never remember a time when her skin felt truly calm. If the breakouts improved, the dryness and irritation often became worse. Makeup became her way to feel covered and confident, but constant coverage often made the problem continue. 

Turning to natural and organic ingredients was not a trend for Sarah. It was where personal philosophy met necessity.

As an at home mom, she began researching natural remedies, herbs, oil, and traditional ways to support the skin. What started as research and experimentation becames products. Products became a full skincare line.

Soon, others began asking to try what Sarah was making. As more people experienced results, a bigger vision began to take shape. Complete skincare systems for different skin types, concerns, and conditions.

Sarah L. Johnson

1979-2016

Founder and face of RawSkinCeuticals. Wife, mother, maker, and the heart behind the brand.

A family brand, built one customer at a time.

Sarah and Dane Johnson started RSC in 2007. Traveling from farmers markets in the Rocky Mountains to trade shows in California. Those early customers became part of the RSC story. Their feedback, trust, and results helped shape many of the skincare and makeup lines offered today.

In 2014, Sarah was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. In early 2016, she passed away, leaving behind her husband, four children, and a family of customers she loved deeply.

Today, RawSkinCeuticals continues as a family brand built around Sarah's original mission: holistic solutions, clean makeup, honest ingredients, and products made to help people feel more confident in their own skin.
